This President’s Day is not like any we have experienced before. It is not just a day where we might have a day off from school or work. Not just a day where we honor the memory of presidents throughout America’s history. This President’s Day needs to be a day of protest that our country is being destroyed by the man that was elected president and sworn in less than a month ago. A day of outrage that an unelected billionaire like Elon Musk has been given access to not only the inner workings of our government, but the private data of all Americans. Rage against the very thought that one man thinks he is above the one fundamental rule in this country, no one is above the law because we have no king.
In all fifty states and at all fifty Capitol buildings, American citizens are protesting against the Trump Administration’s efforts to destroy our democracy. They are mad and scared about the reckless actions being taken to dismantle our government under the pretention of finding fraud and waste. This blatant lie being told is to cover up the giant grift taking place in front of our very eyes.
This Administration is already destroying our long held alliances around the world and it has, again, been less a month. Our country will be left with no friends to support us once Donald Trump and his billionaire cronies break the country completely. We will be left alone and under the control of the oligarchy Trump has installed, that bought and paid for his presidency. The billionaire class will hold all the cards and we will all be forced to fall in line.
Now is the time to speak out. Join a protest. Call your Senators ((202) 224-3121) or Representatives. You can find their numbers on senate.gov or house.gov. Let them know you are upset by what is going on. Tell them you want them to stand up for the American people. The time to speak up is now. The checks and balances of our constitution must be upheld and the rule of law abided by.
This coup must be stopped now or it will be too late. Donald Trump, Elon Musk and the rest of the billionaires can not be allowed to decide what is best for the rest of America. All of the illegal actions by this Administration need to be stopped. Because remember we elect a president in this country, not a king. Happy No Kings Day!
